Allison and Kyra came over for a surprise visit last night! We loved it because we love them :) Kyra is 19 months (can't believe it - we've known her since she was 2 months) and she was a big reason we were (hoping) for a girl! Allison helped me so much through my pregnancy (with clothes, baby products & weight loss encouragement).

Tucson Zoo

Today we went to the zoo with Alex's brother, Will and his wife and daughter. The Tucson zoo is really small so it was easy to do without ending up with a crying/unhappy/hungry baby. It lacked some cool animals but had all the favorites (giraffe, polar bears, and otters). Olivia loved it but, of course, she just loves to be outside. Enjoy the photos.

Playful Olivia.

Lately this girl is all about playing. And not at all about sleeping. Oh well though. Losing sleep to watch this cute girl is something I don't mind. She shrieks with excitement and rolls from side to side (not rolling all the way over yet) and is obsessed with tags. Her little fingers try to get a hold of them and bring them to her mouth.. lots of times little, slippery tags slip out of her grip.

Rice Cereal.

About 2 weeks ago I noticed that even though Olivia was nursing regularly she still seemed hungry. I had planned on waiting until 6 months to start cereal so I started pumping more to increase supply but still it wasn't enough. After talking to her doctor I decided to start her on rice cereal. 2 tsp ( I kind of eyeball it) with a couple tsp of BM. It was a huge hit. I was so surprised how much she liked it and that she wasn't spitting it out. We've started to do cereal twice a day (1 tsp/cereal twice a day).
She goes for the spoon.
Yummy Yummy Cereal.
This was the first cereal sitting :) Huge Success (like I already said). But I am pretty excited that I have such a great baby.
MORE CEREAL PLEASE.
It is slightly messy. (Sometimes pushes it out with her tongue).

New Crib!

Olivia's original crib was a white drop side crib. It was cute & simple. It scared me. Bad. Anytime she would get super excited and kick her legs the thing would shake, not to mention if you leaned on the drop bar it felt as if it was going to drop. So before she starts sitting/standing I decided we were getting a new one. After some saving and LOTS of searching for the "perfect" crib. I found it. Right color/right price/right crib. Here it is: an espresso wooden convertible crib. It is sturdy (as in I try to shake it and it does not move) and beautiful. I am so so happy with it.

Alex put it together. With my help of course ;)

New crib. Love it.
Taking a nap in it for the first time.

Happy Halloween!!

For some reason we could not get a pictures of the pumpkins (sans flash) that wasn't blurry. This was the best shot! We had a good time carving.. those stencils are not joke.

BOOKED!!

We booked our plane tickets for Christmas :) TEMECULA here we come. Cannot wait. It will be awesome to spend Olivia's first Christmas back home with my family.

Apple Annies

Saturday (Yesterday) we decided to pack up the jeep and head south to Wilcox (quite the small town..) to Apple Annie's Pumpkin Patch. Olivia enjoys being outside so much and it's quite a bit cooler there than in Tucson I thought we would have a good time.

Do you think she likes being in her carrier?

Heading in to the corn maze. All smiles :)

We can't be lost - Alex is a Nebraskan!

Seriously.. corn.. everywhere ha.

Olivia fell asleep in the second maze :) So sweet.

Intense right. I get kind of tired looking at the picture!

Love love the sunflower fields.

On our way to pick out some pumpkins!

I've never been/or seen a pumpkin patch before.. how fun!

Picking my pumpkin.

We had such a great time. Such a fun day.
