Saturday morning

It was so beautiful out Saturday morning that we made sure to get out of the house in case it warmed up later. (Lucky us it was in the 70's all day) We wondered over to the duck pond, then Starbucks and a little shopping. -- Can't forget the popsicles in the afternoon!

Much to Olivia's delight we were surrounded by ducks.

I just cannot believe how much she has grown. She'll always be my cuddle bug!

Sassy girl must have her own "Starbucks coffee" aka ice water. As if we didn't get enough of the ducks she chased the birds while we had coffee.

We are big fans of popsicles in the afternoon :)

TUCSON bound!

In OCTOBER for Arizona Homecoming 2010! We are booked and really looking forward to it. I can't wait to see everyone (even though I am sure it will still be so hot!) BEAR DOWN

Splash Park

I am convinced that every housing development should have a splash park. Paying the HOA fees anyway.. another plus when they are private they are guaranteed to be nice (& clean). Alex was such a good Dad and scheduled 2 play dates for Olivia this last week. And luckily I was able to tag along to Friday's @ Heritage Lake's splash park. A little bit of a drive from Temecula but completely worth it! Olivia had a blast with her new friends. Lots of splashing, giggling and running into each other (and of course with 3 toddlers & a 9 month old a few tears). Olivia was asleep in the car before I shut her door, a 1/2 hr drive home and she still slept 2 1/2 hours when we got home!

San Diego ZOO

We have been dying (ok.. I have been dying) to get to the zoo. We (finally) agreed to get everything together and head down August 13th. It could not have been a more perfect day: Sunny, 75 degrees and blue skies. (Exactly why I think San Diego is the perfect city)

We are officially members of the Zoo & Wild Animal Park.. at such a great price we could not pass it up.

I think the first part we walked through had desert animals so (pretty sure) she is THRILLED to see a (not 1) but 2 humped camel.

Lions, tigers and Bears OH MY

Another great perk (for me anyway) is that this zoo is on a hill so you are constantly walking up and down. Great workout (for someone who does not work out).

She was so serious about the zebras. Who could resist this face? Not us that is for sure!

Stopped for a bite and our bug was chatting and screaming (with delight)!

Ready to climb in ;)

Friday through Sunday

Are my FAVORITE days of the week! I get to enjoy my family for three whole days (although Alex is at work half the time). We make the most of our time together :) This bug is so engaged with life. I see her growing and learning every day! (Just a little sad - Mama does not get this time back) We have enjoyed a few of our favorite activities this weekend including visiting the duck pond (Olivia feeds the ducks & herself - therefore I have to make sure we use fresh bread!)

Snuggle bug loves reading books. We read a few stories every night and (usually) I have to put a book in bed with her (or I face tears).

Enjoyed a lunch/play date with Jeffrey & Jenna. We found a delicious Italian deli (homemade raviolis, cannoli's and spumoni - dream come true). Then enjoyed some play time! That little guy is growing so fast! We are excited to get both families together next weekend for a bbq.

--> I am so excited that this move has turned into the most amazing transition for our family and am happy to share that our family is thriving here in Temecula. We are surrounded by loved ones who share our excitement and passion for life!

Happy 30th Birthday!

So Alex turned the BIG 30 (or 28 as he says) last week. We enjoyed presents and ice cream cake last week and held off celebrating til Saturday. With a great group of friends in tow and the bug spending the day with Grandma & Grandpa we hit San Diego for tailgating and a Padres game.

I have to admit that I love that she poses for the camera (sometimes)!

Sassy girl and her Dada.

Sometimes it is hard to get a family picture :(

Beautiful DAY in San Diego! Sunny and 75.. peeerfect. (And why SD might be my favorite city)
Happy Birthday Alex!

Enjoying time spent with Kacy! With our super busy schedules I just don't get to see her as much as I would like.

It was definitely a family affair.

The boys (minus Mike).

Thanks to everyone for coming out and making this day fun! (even though it didn't end as expected) We had a great time!

My GROWing Bug!

July is over! I cannot believe how fast this summer is flying by.. I have officially been working full time for 3 weeks now and while I miss Olivia all day, I don't hate it. Lucky for me she has the best babysitter (DAD!) and they are having a great time together :) If only there were more hours in the day: these days I'm busy 100% of the time. I try to spend every free minute with Olivia and keep up with all of my family needs! (I'm tired.. and I have great concealer)

These days this girl is walking everywhere and is eating like crazy.

This girl is so in love with the dogs.. YES she is trying to drink out of the dog bowl and YES I did manage to stop her.

Playdate with Bennet Crain!

Alex emailed me this one at work. Pictures of this smiling bug definitely make me anxious to get home.

DOG Crazy.
